Elvis Comes to Doylestown

What if Elvis never died? He might be a resident in a nursing home, just like in the 2002 cult film Bubba Ho-tep. Played by Brian Campbell, old-aged Elvis contemplates frailty, loss of dignity, and a growth in an uncomfortable place.

Or maybe, if Elvis lived, he’d be an anti-fracking activist. For some other thoughts on what Elvis might be doing today, click here.

In fact, Elvis came to First Friday Doylestown, Pa., in February to help promote his show, Ali and Elvis: American Icons, opening at the Michener Art Museum Feb. 19.

His first stop was Old Hargrave House, where he chatted with the innkeeper. Next, he stood on the corner of State and Main, where First Friday revelers lined up to have their photos taken with him. You can see some of their pictures here.

And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, where you can see Elvis and Ali visiting some of the highlights of Bucks County.

Best of all, be sure to join us at the Museum for the opening Feb. 19, where Elvis will make another appearance.
